This spring I had two of my pieces accepted into The Best of 2009 Art Show at the Ohio Craft Museum (Columbus, OH).

Deer Hide Jewelry

Here are a couple of pieces that I recently created using deer hide as the focal point. The earrings are made from copper with a patina finish. The ring is made from sterling silver.

At Bay

This is a found object pendant made of copper, antler, wild grass, hemp cord, and a found tin. The theme of this piece is based around the idea of animals losing their habitat, because our society keeps destroying wooded areas to build another department or grocery store.

Stag Nut

This is one of my more recent creations. I've been dabbling in using found objects in my work. In this brooch you can see my interest for the outdoors. This brooch (Stag Nut) is created with: etched copper, sterling silver, nickel silver, black walnut and deer antler. The size is 2" x 2".

It's a sculptural ring with the use of found objects: pine, purple heart, a screw and a screwdriver shaft.

Wood Rings Experiment

Lately I have been experimenting with wood working. At first I took on this medium to give myself a break from metal and to have some fun with something totally new. I have enjoyed the process of wood working and I will begin combining wood with my metal creations much more!
